It takes time and effort to quit smoking.
I used to smoke so the tips that I am sharing today are based on experience.
It's not easy and it will take alot of will power but it is achievable.
1. Cravings last up to 5 minutes.
Craving are temporary and only last for about 5 minutes. Once you realize this it is easier to occupy yourself knowing that it won't last very long.
2. Chewing gum
If your trying to quit it is proberly not your first time trying so you've proberly heard this one before. During those times when the Craving to smoke kicks in grab some gum and start chewing.
Along with nicotine, holding a cigarette, were we smoke it and when we smoke on a daily basis becomes a habit. Now that you know, start to change your routine and be aware of the times that you used to smoke.
4. Distract yourself
Replace smoking with something productive. Exercise, listen to music or practise a hobby.
5. Drink cold water
A nice cold glass of water can do wonders to reduce a Craving.
Tell people that you are quitting and hold yourself accountable. You will most likely follow through with it if others are aware of what your doing.
7. Why are you quitting ?
Ask yourself why? Maybe your quitting for health reasons, appearance, smell, whatever it is will help you beat that Craving.
While quiting your mood will change and you might feel greater stress so take time each day to relax.
9. Reward yourself
Each week for the first 4 weeks reward yourself for being healthy! Buy something, Do somthing you really want to do.
10. Save money
Save the money that you would normally spend on cigarettes and see how much your saving each week. Use that money to reward yourself.
Stick to these 10 tips and along with your will power you will be healthy and smoke free in no time!
