Night shifts can be rough when your not used to them and even if you are !
Here are some great tips to stay alert during them long, grouling nightshifts.
1. Get up
Every hour or so take some time to stroll around, stretch and keep your blood flow moving. 2. Coffee!! We all know that a hot cup of coffee is a great way to stimulate our body and mind due to its high caffeine content. Don't drink too much though, you might not sleep when you get home! 3. Step outside It's easy to stay awake when the wind is blowing around you, the birds are tweeting and the outside world is happening all around your ears. 4. Air conditioning Keep the room cool! A hot room will lead to drowsiness and discomfort so open up a window or turn on the AC. 5. Vitamins Suppliment daily with B vitamins to maintain a more energised body and mind.
