I am sooo incredibly honored to be writing to you today and am beyond grateful to Coffee 2 Rise for allowing me to be here! Today I’m going to be writing to you on how to have the absolute best morning! Here are 5 simple tips to get you there! Enjoy! X (:
Go to bed early!
As a night owl, I completely understand that this is a foreign concept and seems absolutely mad. It truly works though! I find that if I go to bed at a reasonable (and I don’t mean the rationalizing being up at 2 a.m. kind of reasonable!) hour then it is much easier for me to have a productive morning the next day!
Extra tip: if you have trouble getting to sleep earlier, I recommend taking a melatonin or trying out a sleep spray! I prefer this one.
Give yourself time in the morning to properly get started!
Typically, I am one of those people that loves to set my alarm for the absolute LATEST time that I can in order to get me to my destination precisely on time. For example, if I’ve got a class at 12:30 and it takes 15 minutes to get there, I’m getting up at 12 and taking only 15 minutes to get ready! I’ve learned though that I feel much more fulfilled when I get up plenty early and start my day off with some things that I enjoy and just having a bit of me time. It eliminates any sort of feeling rushed and just makes me happier in general!
Make your bed!
This may seem a bit tedious or even silly (I mean…you are just going to get back in later, right?) but it truly does give you the best feeling after having it done. For me, personally, I feel like even though I’ve just gotten up, I’ve done something productive already and it just sets me on a good course for the rest of the morning!
Do something you love!
For me, I love to wake up and read. Typically, I do a Devotional (loving this one at the moment) and after that I like to watch a few Youtube videos as I get ready or simply just drinking a cup of coffee and relaxing! For you, doing something you love can be anything! It could be a trip to the gym, a walk around your neighborhood, reading or watching an episode of a show! The options are endless but I find that doing something that I really enjoy puts me in a good mood and inspires me throughout the day.
Give yourself plenty of time!
I find that when I am rushing, I am grumpy. I absolutely hate to feel like I’m running behind or like I am going to be late. So whether it’s leaving a few minutes earlier for a meeting or for work, or simply getting up earlier make sure that you have plenty of time to get whatever you need to get done, done! I promise you that you will feel much better if you aren’t bustling around like a mad person!
