Sometimes we can all go through periods of finding it hard to sleep at night.
Wether it comes around regularly or once every while here are a few tips to beat that restless spell.
1. Exercise
Exercise has so many benefits and sleeping better is one. Exercise releases our 'feel good' hormones which will help you with any stress that may be keeping u up along with the fact that physical activities will make you significantly more tired. 2. Less caffeine Caffeine can stay in our system for quite a while so try have your last caffiineated Drink around lunchtime to be free of any stimulate upon going to bed. 3. Relieve stress I don't know about you but I tend to think alot more when I lay down to sleep and it can definitely keep me up. Relieving stress by talking to someone or getting your problem resolved can do wonders for your sleep and overall health. 4. Turn everything off Turning off our tv, laptop or any other device an hour before you settle down can improve our sleep by relaxing our brain. 5. Relax The more we think about not being able to sleep we are getting more and more stressed out. Relax, accept that it's 3am and you have work tomorrow, you will be tired but you will more likely sleep the following night right? If you relax and accept it you can rest and eventually fall asleep.
